Alison Lamb
Principal

Alison is an established school leader with more than 22 years of successful headship both in the UK and internationally. Her experience of teaching and leadership spans 30 years in early years, primary and secondary departments and in a wide variety of schools including mainstream and special education. Since 2019 she has been committed to her role as Principal of Dubai Heights Academy and brings with her a wealth of experience in leadership in the Middle East.

Alison is also a PENTA trained British School Overseas inspector with outstanding knowledge and experience in local and international school accreditation. She has worked widely as an executive committee member and country representative for British Schools in the Middle East (BSME), mentoring new school principals and helping schools work through the requirements for achieving BSME accreditation.

Alison's vision is to lead the school to greater 'heights' by creating and maintaining a positive and progressive environment for students and staff to learn and develop. She aims for Dubai Heights Academy to be recognised as an outstanding British School in Dubai which focuses on developing the whole child; academically, intellectually and emotionally.

Rob Hitchings
Vice Principal / Head of Secondary

With 28 years of experience in both UK and international educational settings, including new, evolving, and established schools, Rob Hitchings brings extensive educational expertise to his role as Vice Principal at Dubai Heights Academy. His career has spanned a variety of school types, including for-profit, non-profit, segregated, and government institutions, where he has taken on various leadership roles.

Rob is passionate about the intersection of education and technology, advocating for the use of technological tools to empower educators and students in transforming the learning experience. His vision centers on leveraging technology to inspire creativity, foster innovation, and develop critical thinking skills.

Rob's academic journey began with a BSc (Hons) in Geography and Geology, followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Education with a focus on Geography and 16-19 Education. He further pursued a Master's degree in Information Communications Technology and Education from Leeds University.

Kenneth Lyon
Head of Primary

Kenneth Lyon is no stranger to leadership in education and has over 11 years of senior leadership roles in primary and whole school settings, previously a Vice Principal at an American curriculum school. Formerly, Kenneth has held positions of Assistant Head, Deputy Head and Head of Primary over a period of 14 years at a leading British curriculum school in Dubai.

He has considerable experience of school improvement, particularly around academic standards and the quality of learning and teaching. He is totally committed to placing the needs of the students at the centre of all decision making. He ensures that children are offered a real breadth and depth of experiences that builds on their talents, challenges them to question the world and offers them new and exciting opportunities.

Kenneth also ensures to provide the skills and opportunities for his staff to take on leadership roles and strongly believes in empowering leaders at all levels across the school. He strongly believes that schools are at the heart of a community and he is known for his collaborative leadership style, working closely with teachers, staff and parents to develop and foster positive relationships.

Katie Staton
Assistant Head of Primary and Head of Early Years

With over 20 years teaching, encompassing over 10 years of Senior Leadership within a prestigious Independent School in the North of England, Katie Staton brings extensive experience and skills across the Primary age range. As current Head of Early Years, she has led teams of dedicated teachers and practitioners to excel to the highest possible standards.

Katie has a passion for driving teaching and learning and is committed to ongoing professional development. She has significant experience of raising academic standards and supporting fellow educators to be the best they can possibly be.

She is a passionate, self-reflective, and approachable leader, demanding high expectations ensuring every learning experience counts. Katie thrives upon challenge and adapting pedagogy to achieve the best possible outcomes for all children. Working in close partnership with parents, she strives to inspire young children to develop enquiry skills both in and outside the classroom to become independent thinkers and build their resilience in an ever-changing and advancing world.

Terrie Spencer
Head of Inclusion

Terrie Spencer is a passionate and dedicated leader of Inclusion. She has extensive experience of leadership and teaching in a variety of school settings in the UAE and UK, including: mainstream schools, specialist schools for students of determination, a pupil referral unit, a single gender school, a bilingual school and international schools. Terrie has worked with pupils with a vast range of special educational needs and disabilities, including pupils with selective mutism, hearing impairment, Autism, ADHD and specific learning difficulties. In addition, she has supported the development of pupils with English as an Additional Language and has enriched the learning experiences of pupils identified as Gifted and Talented to ensure that they, like all pupils, are suitably challenged to reach their full potential.

Terrie is the eternal student, committed to ongoing professional development. To support her role as the Head of Inclusion, she holds a Master of Education in Special Education Needs with distinction, PENTA accreditation, is a registered test user and a qualified neuro-developmental therapist (INPP method). Furthermore, she is a member of professional bodies including, The British Psychological Society and the Institute of Neuro-Physiological Psychology. In her quest to support and challenge the students in her care, she has studied Gifted and Talented identification and provision, school mental health improvement, Exam Access Arrangements and ABA therapy.

Terrie is especially passionate about school readiness, early intervention and the role of movement in learning. She particularly enjoys spending time in the Early Years, ensuring that pupils have the solid foundations necessary to thrive on their personal learning journey. Terrie believes that working in close partnership with parents and caregivers is key to the best outcomes for pupils and is regularly involved in events, such as parent workshops, to foster these partnerships.

Scott Goldstein
Assistant Head of Secondary

Originally from Essex in England, Scott Goldstein brings a breadth of experience and knowledge in education, with the last 8 years spent in senior leadership roles in British Curriculum schools, across London and the UAE. His last role before joining DHA was as Whole School Principal for a new British Curriculum school in the UAE. Scott is a personable, focused and results driven leader who is passionate about improving overall school effectiveness and has demonstrated success in improving educational outcomes. He has shown significant results in driving improvements in the quality of teaching and learning, through curricula development and adaptation.

In addition, his professional staff training, the development and implementation of school specific policies and standards, along with his recent completion of his National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) have created a nurturing, learning oriented environment focused on student growth. Scott has been recognised as an outstanding teacher and he will be sharing his passion and knowledge for Geography delivering this subject to GCSE students in Year 10 and Year 11. His inclusive mentoring leadership style has successfully built sustainable relationships with all school stakeholders.

Shahenda Ahmed
Head of Ministry of Education Subjects

Shahenda is an accomplished educational leader with more than fifteen years of experience in teaching and leadership. She is of Jordanian origins and holds a bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the University of Jordan. Her leadership journey spans various educational settings in the UAE, where she has successfully guided her department through periods of growth and transformation.

As a forward-thinking leader, Shahenda's leadership is distinguished by the commitment to inspire a love of the Arabic language and implementing innovative teaching strategies that enhance student engagement and achievement. Shahenda excels in guiding her school and department towards excellence, using her broad experience to create a positive and progressive environment for everyone she works with. Her vision is to foster an inclusive educational community, where academic and personal development are integrated smoothly, ensuring that every teacher and student grows.

Kholod Alahmar
Deputy Head of Ministry of Education Subjects

Kholod is the Deputy Head of MOE Subjects at Dubai Heights Academy, where she leverages over 13 years of educational experience across the UAE. Her extensive background in the Ministry of Educational Subjects Curriculum spans all the school's phases. Kholod holds dual bachelor's degrees in English Literature and Arabic and Islamic Studies from Damascus University, as well as a diploma in Professional Teaching from Ajman University. She is currently pursuing the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) from the UK.

As a lifelong resident of Dubai, Kholod is deeply committed to ensuring every student has the opportunity to excel. She incorporates modern strategies and initiatives into her Islamic Studies curriculum to make the subject engaging and enjoyable for her students. Her teaching philosophy is centered around the belief that "Everyone can do it!"—a testament to her dedication and passion for education.

Outside of her professional life, Kholod enjoys swimming, reading, and travelling to new places. As a mother of three young children, her days are full and vibrant. In her rare moments of free time, she loves to unwind with a good book and some snacks.

Dolly Bradley-Barnard
FS1 Teacher

Dolly comes from a small village in Nottinghamshire, England where she grew up with her four brothers and sisters. Dolly studied in England and has a BA(Hons) degree and post graduate in Education (PGCE). She gained invaluable experience teaching in the UK and Egypt before settling in Dubai 20 years ago with her husband, three children, two dogs and three cats! Dolly has experience working in both primary and secondary education and particularly loves being involved in and working with children in their early years.

Melissa Conchie
FS1 Teacher

Melissa has 6 years of teaching experience in the UK, UAE and Myanmar. She promotes and delivers a strong play-based, holistic learning environment which caters to the needs of all learners through carefully planned activities. Melissa has worked across KS1 and EYFS where she uses children’s interests to plan her teaching and learning and is excellent at creating a positive learning environment where all students are recognised for their strengths.

Hayley Shaw
FS2 Teacher

Hayley is an enthusiastic and committed teacher who has lived in Dubai for 27 years. After completing her formative years of schooling in Dubai, she studied in England and graduated from university with a BA (Hons) degree in Primary Education. This year will be Hayley's twelfth year teaching across the Early Years and Key Stage One.

Learning is a lifelong skill that Hayley is passionate about embedding in her classroom environment and using adaptive teaching strategies that support each and every child. Being part of Dubai Heights Academy since the school’s opening, Hayley has enjoyed organising exciting school trips, events such as Science Week and helping out with the PTA.

She is looking forward to the exciting year ahead at Dubai Heights Academy.

Sakeena Nawaz
FS1 Teacher

Sakeena is a dedicated educator with seven years of teaching experience, driven by a passion for nurturing the next generation. Starting as a Design Technology teacher, she quickly recognised her calling in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), where she has spent the past four years shaping young minds.

With an architecture degree fueling her creativity, Sakeena brings an innovative and visionary approach to early years education, continually striving to inspire and elevate her students' learning experiences. Her ability to blend creative design principles with early childhood education sets her apart as a forward-thinking educator.

Sakeena is committed to pushing the boundaries of traditional teaching methods, ensuring her students develop not only foundational skills but also a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

Pamela Snell
FS2 Teacher

Pamela is a passionate and dedicated Early Years teacher from the UK with 12 years’ experience teaching in Early Years. She received a BSc (Hons) from the University of Ulster and an MA Early Childhood Education from the University of Roehampton, London. Following this, she gained EYTS from the Department of Education in the UK and further gained Cache Level 3 in Early Childhood Development and her UAE teaching licence.

In the past nine years, she has gained experience teaching across the UAE (Dubai, Fujairah and Abu Dhabi) and also has experience teaching throughout the UK and Northern Ireland. Pamela is dedicated to encouraging each child to develop their personal and academic progress and instilling that dedication and desire to learn. She aims to create a positive and engaging learning environment for all children to grow and develop a true love for learning.

It is her aim to teach engaging and challenging lessons to motivate and develop children of all abilities.

Grace Kelly
FS2 Teacher

Grace is a seasoned educator from Ireland with 20 years of teaching experience. She trained in the UK and has worked in Ireland and the USA, with the past 9 years spent enhancing her skills in the UAE. Grace holds a BA in European Studies, a Graduate Diploma in Computing, and a PGCE in Primary Education.

She is dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and develop a passion for learning. She employs inquiry-based and child-centred methodologies to nurture each child's potential.

Leeann Jones
FS2 Teacher

Leeann began her teaching career at Anglia Ruskin University in Essex, UK, while studying Early Childhood Education. During her studies, she worked as an Intervention Leader at an 'Outstanding' school in London, where she raised Primary School attainment through targeted interventions.

After graduating and completing further studies at the Institute of Education in London, Leeann became an 'Outstanding' teacher and led professional development workshops for staff and parents in the Early Years Foundation Stage. She also led the Maths curriculum team across both the Early Years and Primary phases to create consistency across the school.

In 2016, Leeann started teaching in Dubai at a private international school. She has also mentored student teachers and supported colleagues' development. She believes that even the youngest children can excel with the right support and encouragement.

Erin Doody
Year 1 Teacher

Erin is a dedicated Year 1 teacher with 8 years of experience in the UK and the UAE, who aims to create an inclusive and welcoming space that values each child's unique strengths and interests.

With a passion for literacy, creativity and the outdoors, Erin loves to design fun and engaging learning environments that give children a realm of opportunity to explore and imagine. Primary Computer Science Lead / Social Responsibility and Innovation (DSL)

Hayley Burrows is a highly dedicated UK educator with a wealth of experience in both teaching and leadership roles. She holds a BA (Hons) in Sociology and Psychology, as well as a PGCE in Primary Education from University College Northampton. Over her 9 years in UAE education and 4 years at DHA, Hayley has demonstrated versatility and expertise, having successfully worked across all year groups. Currently, she serves as the Computing teacher for KS1 and KS2, and her impact extends to KS3 through her active involvement in our collaboration with MIT, where she plays a crucial role in enhancing AI learning.

Hayley is deeply passionate about integrating coding across all year levels and advancing digital literacy, making her an invaluable contributor to the ongoing development of our Computing curriculum. As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, she is instrumental in ensuring the safety and well-being of both students and staff. Beyond her teaching responsibilities, Hayley has been pivotal in nurturing student leadership through the successful development of the Student Council, driving numerous school initiatives and fostering community engagement. This year, she is particularly focused on further empowering student leaders and championing sustainability efforts within the school. Shahenda Ahmed
Head of Ministry of Education Subjects

Shahenda Ahmed is the Head of Ministry of Education Subjects at Dubai Heights Academy. She is an accomplished educational leader with more than fifteen years of experience in teaching and leadership. She is of Jordanian origins and holds a bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the University of Jordan. Her leadership journey spans various educational settings in the UAE, where she has successfully guided her department through periods of growth and transformation.

As a forward-thinking leader, Shahenda's leadership is distinguished by the commitment to inspire a love of the Arabic language and implementing innovative teaching strategies that enhance student engagement and achievement. Shahenda excels in guiding her school and department towards excellence, using her broad experience to create a positive and progressive environment for everyone she works with. Her vision is to foster an inclusive educational community, where academic and personal development are integrated smoothly, ensuring that every teacher and student grows.

Kholod Alahmar
Deputy Head of Ministry of Education Subjects

Kholod Alahmar is the Islamic Lead at Dubai Heights Academy and has worked in education for over 12 years across the UAE and Syria, bringing a rich Islamic curriculum school experience to her role both in Primary and Secondary stages. She holds two bachelors; one in English Literature, while the other one is in Arabic and Islamic Studies from Damascus University in Syria, along with a diploma in Professional Teaching from Ajman University. Kholod is working now on her National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership from UK; NPQSL.

Kholod was born in Dubai, living her whole life in this gorgeous country, and she believes that every pupil should take his full opportunity in learning, That’s why she focuses in her Islamic teachings on all the modern strategies and initiatives that support in making the Islamic Studies one of the students’ favorite subjects. This all makes her so passionate to deliver her teaching experiences, and to bring the students up to her teaching philosophy; “Everyone can do it!”

Kholod's favourite hobbies are swimming, reading and exploring the world by traveling to new places. She is a mother of two little kids, which makes her so busy during the day. When she has some free time, she grabs a new book, and enjoys reading with some snacks.

Emtesal Al Ghaz
Arabic Teacher

Emtesal Abdou is a passionate and dedicated Arabic teacher who holds a diploma in Arabic education. She has extensive experience teaching the Arabic language to Arabs and non-Arabs at all levels. She has been an Arabic teacher in Dubai for over 23 years and has been at DHA for the last 5 years. Emtesal describes herself as an outstanding teacher who aims to deliver interesting and engaging lessons to pupils of all abilities.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, partaking in sports and spending time with her little family.

Sumaia Shatnawi
Arabic Teacher

Sumaia Shatnawi comes from Jordan and has a Diploma in Global Teaching Practice from Liverpool Hope University in the UK. She has 12 years of experience teaching Arabic B to primary and secondary students in Dubai schools. Sumaia is committed to helping students develop their critical thinking skills and is known for her ability to inspire them to love reading and writing.

Her favourite quote is “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.”

She is also an advocate for social justice and uses her classroom as a platform to promote diversity and inclusion. She is very fond of walking on the beach, traveling, drawing and reading. She often visits the beach with her family on the weekends for family fun time and she loves learning about new cultures.

Rabab Housino
Arabic Teacher

Rabab Housino is an EYFS and Primary Arabic B teacher with a Bachelors in Education from Damascus University who has been teaching Arabic in Dubai for 10 years. She ensures that her lessons are creative, engaging, fun and challenging.

She believes that utilising technology for learning is vital for 21st century learners and tries to incorporate innovation and technology in all of her classes. Rabab considers herself to be a lifelong learner and hopes to instil the love of the Arabic language in her students.

Riham Salameh
Arabic Teacher

Riham Salameh has a Bachelor’s of Education in Arabic from the University of Bethlehem and will be joining us as an Arabic B teacher for Secondary. She has 17 years of experience, including 11 years in the UAE, where she has been teaching all the way from Year 2 to Year 13.

Her previous experiences as Deputy Head of Arabic and Team Leader has given her a clear understanding of the Arabic teaching curriculum and the needs of students in each age group. Riham is passionate about education and is committed to helping her students succeed and feel confident in learning an additional language.

Abeer Al Naseri
Arabic Teacher

Abeer Al Naseri hails from Iraq and has a degree from Baghdad University. She previously worked in another Dubai school for 13 years as a primary school Arabic B teacher. Abeer is thrilled to be a part of the incredible team at DHA. Teaching is her passion and she absolutely loves working with young minds and helping them discover their potential. With over 14 years of experience in teaching, she has developed a deep understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.

Her goal is to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported. With over 8 years of experience in the fields of education and counselling, Arushi holds a postgraduate degree in Psychology with a specialisation in Counselling. She is well-versed in safeguarding and child protection, having achieved Level 3 training, and brings a rich background in working within diverse global curriculums, including both IB and British systems.

Passionate about mental health, she is dedicated to fostering a supportive and cohesive ecosystem for educators, students, and parents. Kira Haughian
PE Teacher / Community Partnerships & International Lead

Kira is embarking on her 7th year as a teacher, gaining experience teaching across all Key Stages in the UK and UAE. Her passion for fostering physical well-being and growth shines through her role as a dedicated Physical Education and swimming teacher. She received her BA (Hons) Degree from York St John University before going on to complete a PGCE in Physical Education at Sheffield Hallam University.

Kira's heart resonates most with the grace and dynamism of gymnastics, formerly being a competitive gymnast for an impressive 13 years. Her journey extends beyond the mat, as she also competed internationally as a cheerleader, further embodying the spirit of camaraderie and teamwork. In her PE classes, Kira infuses her deep-rooted love for movement and sport, encouraging students of all ages to discover the joy of staying active while nurturing essential life skills. Additionally, her expertise in swimming imparts invaluable water safety knowledge and stroke techniques to her eager learners.

Kira believes that well-being is a key ingredient for success and is passionate about supporting the staff, students, and wider community of DHA. Now in her fourth year at DHA, she continues to be deeply committed to making a positive impact.

Alison Lamb
School Principal / Wellbeing Ambassador

Alison is an established school leader with more than 22 years of successful headship both in the UK and internationally. Her experience of teaching and leadership spans 30 years in early years, primary and secondary departments and in a wide variety of schools including mainstream and special education; including schools for moderate learning, emotional, behavioural, and medical needs, EAL, private and state, co-educational and single gender. Since 2019 she has been committed to her role as Principal of Dubai Heights Academy and brings with her a wealth of experience in leadership in the Middle East.

Alison is also a PENTA trained British School Overseas inspector with outstanding knowledge and experience in local and international school accreditation. She has worked widely as an executive committee member and country representative for British Schools in the Middle East (BSME), mentoring new school principals and helping schools work through the requirements for achieving BSME accreditation. Since joining Dubai Heights Academy, she has led the school forward in its journey of excellence including the achievement of a Very Good KHDA inspection rating, with several outstanding features.

Alison’s vision is to lead the school to greater ‘heights’ by creating and maintaining a positive and progressive environment for students and staff to learn and develop. Alison aims for Dubai Heights Academy to be recognised as an outstanding British School in Dubai which focuses on developing the whole child; academically, intellectually and emotionally. With over a decade of experience leading youth work services at a globally connected charity, she brings extensive expertise in family support, alternative education, youth work, and community outreach. Sarah has also led behaviour and safety initiatives in an alternative curriculum for students who had been excluded from their mainstream schools. Additionally, she has supported the inclusion of pupils with SEN, emotional, and behavioral needs in schools.

Passionate about inclusivity and student success, Sarah is dedicated to creating supportive environments where every student can thrive. As a trauma-informed practitioner and mental health first aider, she is known for her empathetic, creative, and reflective approach. Sarah is committed to helping students find their unique pathways and thrive, leaving no one behind.

Terrie Spencer
Head of Inclusion

Terrie Spencer is a passionate and dedicated leader of Inclusion. She has extensive experience of leadership and teaching in a variety of school settings in the UAE and UK, including: mainstream schools, specialist schools for students of determination, a pupil referral unit, a single gender school, a bilingual school and international schools. Terrie has worked with pupils with a vast range of special educational needs and disabilities, including pupils with selective mutism, hearing impairment, Autism, ADHD and specific learning difficulties. In addition, she has supported the development of pupils with English as an Additional Language and has enriched the learning experiences of pupils identified as Gifted and Talented to ensure that they, like all pupils, are suitably challenged to reach their full potential.

Terrie is the eternal student, committed to ongoing professional development. To support her role as the Head of Inclusion, she holds a Master of Education in Special Education Needs with distinction, PENTA accreditation, is a registered test user and a qualified neuro-developmental therapist (INPP method). Furthermore, she is a member of professional bodies including, The British Psychological Society and the Institute of Neuro-Physiological Psychology. In her quest to support and challenge the students in her care, she has studied Gifted and Talented identification and provision, school mental health improvement, Exam Access Arrangements and ABA therapy.

Terrie is especially passionate about school readiness, early intervention and the role of movement in learning. She particularly enjoys spending time in the Early Years, ensuring that pupils have the solid foundations necessary to thrive on their personal learning journey. Terrie believes that working in close partnership with parents and caregivers is key to the best outcomes for pupils and is regularly involved in events, such as parent workshops, to foster these partnerships.

Elaine Irvine
Inclusion Teacher

Elaine Irvine is now in her fifth year at Dubai Heights Academy as an Inclusion teacher. She is mainly based in Secondary, teaching English and maths at Entry Level. Elaine has 18 years of teaching experience across the UK and Dubai. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in the Study of Education, PGCE and the National Award for SEND Coordination. Elaine is passionate about challenging her students to reach their full potential in a supportive and engaging learning environment. She recognises that one path does not fit all and actively strives to accommodate all learning styles through a range of pedagogical approaches.

Elaine has three boys who all attend Dubai Heights Academy. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cycling and family days out across Dubai.

Sarah Marnell
Inclusion Teacher

Sarah is an enthusiastic and dedicated special needs educator with 9 years of experience as an inclusion teacher. She is based mainly in Secondary, teaching ASDAN. She enjoys teaching students a variety of life skills to prepare them for life outside of the classroom. She has a deep understanding of fostering supportive and inclusive learning environments, identifying main areas for growth, and providing differentiated and personalised learning activities. Sarah is looking forward to providing meaningful, engaging lessons and celebrating the many successes of her students throughout the year.

Sarah is also thrilled to be teaching the GCSE Psychology course. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Master's Degree in Psychology from Queen's University Belfast. She has had wonderful opportunities to apply psychological knowledge, working with children facing adversity in South Africa, the UK, and Kenya.

Allison Buckley
Inclusion and Intervention Teacher

Allison grew up in Hong Kong and Kenya before finally making the UAE her home in 1996. She worked in both the hospitality and equine industries in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi and Dubai before beginning her teaching career; completing her PGCE in 2007 and her Master’s of Education in 2014. She has 14 years teaching experience across a variety of age groups and curricula in the UAE, and holds Accredited Practitioner Status (APS) with the British Dyslexia Association. She is passionate about making a significant contribution to the social and academic growth and development of every student. Allison loves being outdoors, enjoys participating in a variety of sports and is a keen sports photographer.

Ingrid Babayan
EAL / Inclusion Teacher

Ingrid has been an EAL teacher for the past 12 years in Dubai, working both in the IB and British curricula. She also has experience teaching other languages at Texas Tech University, where she obtained her Master's in Applied Linguistics. In the past four years, she has successfully been leading EAL departments at a whole school level. Ingrid strongly believes that every teacher is a language teacher. She not only works with students but also helps teachers acquire effective strategies to support ELL students in every lesson. Outside of education, Ingrid is passionate about aerial arts. She loves a good adventure and is an avid traveller, diver, and trekker.

Orla Spillane
Speech and Language Therapist

Orla is a speech and language therapist with a bachelors degree from University College Cork, Ireland. She has worked as a speech and language therapist for the Health Service Executive (HSE) in Ireland and the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK. Orla has practiced speech and language therapy in a number of settings, including early intervention, children of determination services, and special schools. She has experience working with toddlers, pre-schoolers, and school-aged children. She specialises in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation disorders, autism spectrum disorder, social communication and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Orla is passionate about supporting school staff and students families to ensure the best therapeutic outcome for each student. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors and family days exploring Dubai.

MBODE Therapist

Shirley Vardi is a dedicated MBODE therapist who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. She is committed to supporting students' physical and emotional well-being through her specialized therapeutic techniques. Shirley's approach is holistic, focusing on the mind-body connection to help students achieve their full potential. Outside of her professional work, Shirley enjoys spending time with her family and exploring new wellness practices.

Fathema Hasham
Occupational Therapist

Fathema Hasham is a skilled Occupational Therapist with a passion for helping students develop the skills they need to succeed in both academic and everyday activities. She has extensive experience working with children with a variety of needs, including sensory processing disorders, developmental delays, and physical disabilities. Fathema is dedicated to creating individualized therapy plans that cater to each student's unique needs. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Natalia Klepikova
Inclusion / EAL HLTA

Natalia is a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in English as an Additional Language. With 20 years of experience in primary, secondary, and higher education, she has taught a wide range of English training courses to various students. She is a qualified professional with a Specialty Degree in Linguistics, a Degree of Higher Professional Education in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and certification from the American TESOL Institute. She speaks English, Russian, and basic French.

Natalia adores intellectual humour and uses it often to help others achieve a good command of English because she believes that humour helps her remain an effective mentor for her students. One of her major mottos is "Live and Learn." Biking, handcrafts, and reading are her main hobbies today.
