Transfer Certificates

In order for us to register your child with the KHDA (Knowledge & Human Development Authority - the local education authority), it is mandatory that we receive a Transfer Certificate (TC) from your child’s current school. Registration at any school in Dubai without a TC is not possible. Please see the following page for a sample Transfer Certificate.

Different rules apply regarding attestation depending on the location of your child’s current school. Please see below. It is very important that these rules are adhered to.

Location	Attestation Required
Dubai	An official KHDA-attested TC is required. Your current school can issue this for you.
Gulf countries and other Emirates in the UAE	School Principal’s signature and school stamp. Attested by the Ministry of Education in the current school’s location/country.
UK and US	School Principal’s signature and school stamp.
All other countries	School Principal’s signature and school stamp. Attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Attested by the UAE Embassy in the current school’s location/country.

Sample Transfer Certificate

For anyone joining a school in Dubai from another country or Emirate, please use the following format for the Transfer Certificate.

It must be typed on the school’s original letterhead, showing the school’s full name, address,country and telephone number. The certificate must be original and it must be signed by the School Principal and stamped with the school’s official stamp.
