We believe in the importance of nurturing a religious and Islamic consciousness within our Muslim students. Islamic Studies is framed alongside Social Studies and Moral Education. The Curriculum aims to provide a clear understanding of Islamic teaching, moral behaviour and Islamic etiquette.
High stands are achieved by following the UAE Ministry of Education Curriculum and Knowledge and Human Development Authority guidelines. Arabic is offered to native speaking students and as a new language for Arabic language learners across all of our year groups. Islamic Studies is offered to Muslim students as well as for second language speakers.
The aim of the French at Dubai Heights Academy is to enable pupils to become confident and independent language learners. Students are encouraged to develop their language skills through a variety of activities that involve listening, speaking, reading and writing. Lessons are planned to allow pupils to feel valued and confident to participate in class activities, ensuring that the language learning process is a positive and enjoyable experience.
